Gretchen Carlson and a panel today discussed Kanye West’s remarks in Interview magazine, in which he said “god, sex and alcohol” got him through the Taylor Swift award show controversy.

“You know, just enough religion, a half-cup of alcohol with some ice in it and a nice chaser, and then I’d made it to next week,” he said.

“Kanye West is a lot like many people, even people of faith today, who try to use God as a chaser to dilute the misery of sin,” Dr. Robert Jeffress, pastor of First Baptist Church, said.

“Real religion, which is a relationship, does get you through not just the week but through life,” Tony Perkins, president of Family Research Council, said.
