The man who was brutally beaten by a motorcycle gang has filed a legal notice saying he intends to sue New York City.

Last fall, Alexian Lien was driving along Manhattan’s West Side highway with his wife and young child in the vehicle when he rear-ended a motorcyclist. The group became enraged and chased after Lien, eventually smashing the window and dragging him out of the SUV.

One of the attackers Lien is suing were undercover NYPD cops. The 33-year-old is saying that the NYPD was negligent for failing to properly hire and train the officers.
