IOC Makes U.S. Hockey Goalie Remove Constitution From Mask Before Olympics
The International Olympic Committee is requiring U.S. women’s hockey goalie Jessie Vetter to remove an inscription of the U.S. Constitution from her custom mask.
The IOC says the inscription is propaganda which promotes the United States above other countries.
“What if it was an Islamic sign, what if it was … a rainbow for tolerance, I don’t know if they would have acted the same,” Greg Gutfeld said of the IOC.
Dana Perino wondered how the inscription is different from the flags displayed on Olympic uniforms. “Every country has some sort of representation of their country on their uniforms,” she said.
“She oughta have something inside her helmet to play ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ when people come down,” Bob Beckel said.
