Funny VIRAL: Pastor Gives One-Minute Sermon, Leaves to Watch 49ers
A hilarious video is making the rounds out of Butte, Montana, where pastor Tim Christensen ran his version of the hurry-up offense so he could leave to watch the 49ers-Panthers playoff game.
The 1p ET kickoff clearly conflicted with services at Gold Hill Evangelical Lutheran Church, so the San Francisco native asked churchgoers if they were aware there was a football game going on.
When they said yes, he asked if they wanted to be forgiven for their sins, then quickly responded, "OK, you are."
Christensen directed everyone to come up for bread and wine before kissing his biceps a la 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, then revealing a Niners shirt!
Good news for Christensen: the Niners beat the Panthers 23-10 and will face Seattle on Sunday in the NFC Championship (in a 6:30p ET kickoff on Fox).
