New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (R) is embroiled in a political scandal after emails and texts revealed that his top aides were involved in a traffic jam on the George Washington Bridge. The jam was reportedly caused out of retribution against the Democratic mayor of Fort Lee, who refused to support Christie for reelection.

The governor gave a two-hour press conference, expressing his outrage and willingness to hold people accountable. He did, however, maintain his innocence.

But the scandal has already cast doubt on Christie’s possible 2016 presidential run and has perpetuated the notion that Christie is a bully.
