Brian Kilmeade sat down with the makers of a new documentary, Murph: The Protector, that honors the life and heroic actions of Navy SEAL Lt. Michael Murphy.

The Smithtown, New York, native was killed in a firefight in 2005 in Afghanistan. He received the Medal of Honor for his actions when he left his men so he could radio to his command headquarters for help.

Murphy knowingly exposed himself and was shot by enemy fighters. He died of his wounds while still engaging the enemy.

The film is going to be available for download on iTunes January 7. Murphy, along with his SEAL unit, is also portrayed in the new film, "Lone Survivor."
