MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry has apologized for controversial remarks made on her show about Mitt Romney’s adopted African-American grandson.

Harris-Perry and guests on her show made jokes about a Romney family photo that featured the former presidential candidate's recently adopted grandson, Kieran.

Dana Perino said she would accept the apology because it seems sincere, but Kimberly Guilfoyle said she would not.

“The idea that you would dump on anybody who adopts a black child … there are hundreds of thousands of black children in this country and others who need to be adopted,” Bob Beckel said. “So shut your mouth, be happy that child’s got a place to be, be happy they’ve got a good place to live, some food on the table and they’re being housed and clothed and given the kind of education they need.”
