‘Legally Dead’ Banker Arrested During Routine Traffic Stop
A missing Georgia banker who had been declared legally dead was captured this week during a routine traffic stop.
Authorities say 47-year-old Aubrey Lee Price stole, misappropriated and embezzled more than $20 million, then gave bank officials fake reports to cover up the losses.
Price disappeared in June 2012 after authorities say he left a note indicating that he planned to commit suicide by jumping from a ferry boat off the coast of Florida.
A Florida judge then declared him legally dead.
Price was arrested during a routine traffic stop on I-95 in Brunswick, Ga. on Tuesday.
