MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry has apologized for controversial remarks made on her show about Mitt Romney’s adopted African-American grandson.
Harris-Perry and guests on her show made jokes about a Romney family photo that featured the former presidential candidate's recently adopted grandson, Kieran.
“The idea that you would dump on anybody who adopts a black child … there are hundreds of thousands of black children in this country and others who need to be adopted,” Bob Beckel said. “So shut your mouth, be happy that child’s got a place to be, be happy they’ve got a good place to live, some food on the table and they’re being housed and clothed and given the kind of education they need.”
“They didn’t see a great picture, they saw political theater,” Greg Gutfeld said of the commentary.
