Anger is mounting at Target - with one lawsuit already filed - after the company revealed Thursday that the credit and debit card information of up to 40 million customers may have been exposed.

People are taking to the Target Facebook page to voice their frustrations, with some saying they called the hotline set up by Target only to wait for an hour and then be dropped from the line.

It's still unclear exactly how the data breach occurred. The company has said those who made purchases at its U.S. stores between Nov. 27 and Dec. 15 should check their account statements.
