Watch: This Lego Car Really Drives
A team has constructed a Lego car that actually drives! The vehicle is made of more than 500,000 Legos, runs on compressed air and can reach speeds of 15 miles an hour.
Steve Sammartino, the Melbourne man behind the project, joined Happening Now by phone today.
Sammartino raised $20,000 to create the car, which took about six months of designing and twelve months of building.
He would work on the car after putting his kids to bed. He said they think his project is a little bit odd and ask, “Why is dad playing with toys as well?”
