On Friday, left-leaning MSNBC host Martin Bashir unleashed a vile attack against former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin saying that she deserved the same punishment given out by an 18th century slave master who forced slaves to defecate and urinate in other slaves’ mouths.

Bashir has since apologized for the comments, saying, “They were neither accurate nor fair. They were unworthy of anyone who would claim to have an interest in politics."

Tuesday night, Sean Hannity questioned why Bashir wasn’t suspended or fired for the remarks.

What shocked The Five’s Dana Perino was that Bashir had actually written the comments in advance. “Many people had to approve what he said before it went on the air. It wasn’t an accident! […] That was a premeditated attack on Governor Palin,” she said.

Fox Business Network’s Stuart Varney agreed. “In any halfway legitimate news operation, anybody who does anything like that is fired immediately. That is a stain on the entire NBC group.”

Varney argued that such “disgusting” comments are a sign of desperation.

“You’ve lost it because your side is losing hands down,” he said.
