Judge Andrew Napolitano weighed in on the proposed Senate deal that would end the government shutdown and raise the debt ceiling.

Napolitano said the idea that the government would default by tomorrow was a “made up trick by Democrats” to scare people because there was enough money in the government’s coffers to pay bills through the end of the year.

The judge added that Democrats made the Republicans in the House out to be the “bad guys.”

“The Republicans in the House are doing the best to preserve the value of the dollar and constitutional government as we understand it, but it got to the tipping point and there was just too much suffering out there,” he said about the need for a deal.
