The House passed a new version of the continuing resolution that would delay ObamaCare for one year and keep the government funded until mid-December. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) called the bill “pointless.”

A deal must be reached in Congress by Monday night to avert a government shutdown. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), who gave a lengthy speech last week in protest of ObamaCare, spoke to Shannon Bream on America’s News HQ.

Sen. Cruz accused Sen. Reid of playing brinkmanship and attempting to force a shutdown. “There’s no reason the Senate should be home on vacation. […] Harry Reid right now should call the Senate back and let’s get to work.”
