You may have seen this ambush by City University of New York students on General David Petraeus as he walked to his first day teaching at the school. The students verbally assaulted Petraeus, some even doing so at the behest their professors.

O’Reilly Factor producer Jesse Watters confronted one of those professors, S. Sandor John. At first, the Latin American History adjunct professor didn’t want to speak to Watters. When he did open up, he lobbied his own attack against Petraeus. “Students and faculty […] are not okay with a death squad organizer and somebody who organized drone attacks.”

Watters asked the professor if he had facts to back up his accusation that Petraeus is a war criminal who personally tortured people. Citing The Guardian newspaper, John said Petraeus brought to Iraq Colonel James Steele – a man associated with a battalion that carried out a massacre in El Salvador.

One of Petraeus’ students told Watters that he’s a “great professor” but said she doesn't feel comfortable going to class. Police are barricading the classroom to protect the students. Last week, six students were arrested for obstruction, rioting, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

As for John, he plans on continuing to oppose Petraeus teaching at CUNY in order to keep the university from turning into the “Abu Ghraib on the island of Manhattan.”
