Tonight on Hannity, Sen. Paul said it’s “not very smart” for Republicans to attack other Republicans. He said it was “sad and cheap” that Gov. Christie would use the cloak of 9/11 victims to say that he’s the only one who cares about them. “Hogwash! If he cared about protecting this country, maybe he wouldn’t be in this ‘gimme, gimme, gimme all the money you have in Washington, or don’t have,’ and he’d be a little more fiscally responsive.”

Paul said it’s important to remember that there is a Bill of Rights and that Americans shouldn’t be willing to give up all of their liberties in the name of national security. “I’m for spying on terrorists. I’m not for spying on every American.” he said, referring to the NSA surveillance program.

He went on to slam Gov. Christie and his supporters for being “flippant” about privacy and the Fourth Amendment. “They do an injustice to our soldiers. Our soldiers are laying their life on the line for the Bill of Rights.”
