Gun-Rights Activist, Fmr. Marine Arrested After Loading Gun in D.C. Park
Police arrested gun-rights activist and former Marine Adam Kokesh after he posted a video on YouTube that appeared to show him loading a shotgun in Washington, D.C.’s Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C.
In the video, which was posted on July 4th, Adam Kokesh says, “We will not be silent. We will not obey. We will not allow our government to destroy our humanity. We are the final American revolution. See you next Independence Day!”
Kokesh says that he knew police would come after he posted the video, but he was shocked at the size of the forces. He claims there were helicopters, 20 armored vehicles, SWAT teams, and detectives.
He faces drug and firearm possession charges, but is refusing to leave his jail cell for his arraignment.
