Caleb 'Kai' McGillvary, who gained internet fame in February as the ‘hatchet-wielding hitchhiker,’ has now been arrested for murder.
McGillvary rose to fame after saving a woman by fighting off a 300-pound man with a hatchet and giving a local TV reporter in Fresno, Cal. an animated recounting of the incident, FoxNews.com reports.

According to authorities, in this latest incident, ‘Kai’ met a man in New York City’s Times Square who was found dead in his New Jersey home on Monday. The cause of death has been determined as blunt force trauma.
Police say 'Kai’s' friends provided him with a place to stay, took him to a New Jersey bus station and called authorities. 'Kai' was arrested at the Greyhound bus station without incident.
