A House hearing in which three whistleblowers will testify in the nation's capitol will begin at 11:30a ET on the September 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi.

Four Americans lost their lives in the attack. Below are more details on the victims.

Sean Smith joined the State Department in 2002. Prior to Libya, he served in Baghdad, Pretoria, Montreal and the Hague.

Glen Doherty was part of a Tripoli reinforcement team that reached the CIA annex seven hours after the initial attack.

Tyrone Woods was a former Navy SEAL and was working as a security contractor at the CIA annex when the attack occurred.

Ambassador Chris Stevens was the first U.S. diplomat killed in an overseas attack since 1979. He arrived in Libya in May of 2012. A month before the attack, he sent a cable expressing concern that the consulate could not be defended in the event of a coordinated attack.
