Father of Navy SEAL Killed in Benghazi to Hillary Clinton: 'Credibility Is the Difference'
The father of Tyrone Woods, a Navy SEAL killed during the Benghazi attack along with three other Americans, joined Hannity tonight. On Wednesday, witnesses to the attack will testify in a congressional hearing for the first time about the events on September 11, 2012.
Before the interview, Charles Woods and his two daughters gave Sean Hannity a framed photo of Tyrone.
The question that needs to be answered for America’s sake is why this happened, said Woods. In order to answer that question, he concluded that we first need to answer who did this.
Woods revealed that a couple of weeks ago, he and 700 former special forces members went to D.C. to encourage Congress to have these hearings. “Our message to them was that so far we don’t have any real credible evidence, […] and it’s been all hearsay testimony.”
Fox News has reported that “whistleblowers” who witnessed the attack were being threatened by government. Three of those people are going to get the chance to tell their story tomorrow.
Woods responded to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s previous testimony in which she said, "We have four dead Americans. [...] what difference at this point does it make” who was responsible for the attack.
The father of one of those “dead Americans” said, “I would say, what difference does it make? Credibility, because in a courtroom situation we have a rule that says if a person’s testimony is proven to be false in any part, the rest of their testimony is to be disregarded on that subject.”
Woods said it’d be nice if when politicians speak, we wouldn’t have to question whether they were telling the truth. “Truth is always the best and the most powerful way to express something.”
Charles Woods will return to Hannity on Wednesday night following the day’s hearings.
