At a news conference late Tuesday afternoon, Gov. Deval Patrick told a touching story about a young woman named Victoria who was wounded in Monday's bombing in Boston. She was carried to a medical tent by a firefighter and said she was was then calmed down by an Afghanistan Army veteran, whom she remembered only as "Tyler."

Patrick asked Tyler to come forward, saying Victoria

wanted to meet her personal hero and thank him for his help. She had told Patrick that in an effort to calm her down while she was "hysterical" following the blasts, Tyler showed her a scar from his own shrapnel wound, telling Victoria that she would be okay and would have 'a scar like his.'

Tyler Dodd came forward hours later, saying it seemed like the two had "some kind of connection on a spiritual level."
