At just 15 years old, Sarah Merkle is making headlines after she testified against gun control legislation in front of Maryland lawmakers.

The video of Merkle has since gone viral and tonight, she joined Hannity for an interview. Merkle told Sean Hannity she began shooting guns with her dad as a child and has gone on to shoot competitively.

During her testimony, Merkle said in part, “By signing this legislation, you are not

signing away gun violence but instead liberating American citizens of our constitutional rights.

You are not eliminating guns from society, but eliminating our ability to protect our lives, liberty and pursuits of happiness.” She also noted that Chicago has some of the strictest gun laws in the country, but it’s twice as likely for a person to be killed in Chicago than in the war in Afghanistan.

"Is that something we want to model our state laws after?" she asked.
