Tuesday, Fox News Channel’s Ed Henry got into a heated back-and-forth with White House Press Secretary Jay Carney on the impact of the sequester. Henry challenged Carney on Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano’s previous claims that America’s border would be less safe because the sequester would require border patrol agents to be furloughed. It was announced Monday that such furloughs would be postponed.

Carney lashed out saying, “Feel free to convey to your readers and viewers that the sequester doesn’t matter …” Henry clarified, saying, “I didn’t say it didn’t matter. I said that the secretary came in here and said that we were going to be less safe. That people were going to be crossing the border because there are less border patrol agents, and then they announced yesterday, ‘no, were’ not doing that.’ So, I’m not sing it’s not important, I’m saying did she mislead the public?” See where the back-and-forth went next …
