Fiery Bill O'Reilly Calls Out Laura Ingraham Over Gay Marriage, 'Fictional Feud' With Rush Limbaugh
A fiery back-and-forth took place on last night's 'The O'Reilly Factor,' but this time it wasn't between Bill and a liberal guest.
O'Reilly took on conservative talk show host Laura Ingraham, a frequent guest and fill-in host, for saying that his Talking Points Memo assertion that the liberal media was manufacturing a feud between him and Rush Limbaugh wasn't true. In the Memo, O'Reilly claimed his comments that gay marriage opponents have to do more to prove their case were being taken out of context. "Well, number one, I would say, Bill, that there is a feud," she said.
"I think when you said, 'they have to do more than Bible thump' - I don't think you really needed to say that, right?" O'Reilly then cut her off, saying that he needed to correct some issues with her statement.

After he let Ingraham "have her say," he hashed through her remarks.
"I made a very honest point," he began, "that if you're going to stand up for heterosexual marriage [...] you have to do it outside the Bible.
You can't cite the Bible, because you'll lose if you do." And this is where things began to get heated, with Ingraham taking issue and saying, "I think that's disrespectful to people who really try to live their lives according to the Bible."
"In their private life they can! We're talking about policy! Don't you understand the difference between private beliefs and policy?" he fired back, raising his voice. "I guess I'm not very well educated; I guess I don't understand," she retorted.
