A Florida school bus driver is facing a five-day suspension for taking a phone call from her Marine son who is serving in Afghanistan.

Rossana Lucas says that she only gets a chance to speak to her son every few months, and that there weren’t any children on-board the bus at the time that she took the brief phone call.

The school board has agreed to take another look at the case. It appears as though Superintendent Robert Runcie may sympathize with Lucas. He recently said, “We have these rules. Context does matter and there’s some definite circumstances here that I think warrant taking another look at this.”
