These thieves got a little more of a fight than they bargained for when they tried a midday smash-and-grab at a Sherman Oaks, California, jewelry store. The store's 81-year-old owner, Chuck Lire, sprang

into action when one of the men suddenly smashed a display case with a hammer. Then, a second man ran in, and had to deal with Chuck! After some shoving, the men quickly ran out the door, making off with a few watches. Lire said fear didn't go through his mind. "I didn't even think about it," he said. Police have been looking for the brazen robbers, described as two Hispanic males, for nearly a month now, and released the surveillance video in hopes of generating some tips from the public.
