A determined teenager walked 10 miles in the snow for a job interview. No, this isn’t just a tale to tell your kids. An 18-year-old was making the trek when the owner of a Cajun restaurant in Indianapolis saw him and warned him not to walk in the freezing weather.

It turns out the Jhaqueil Reagan didn’t have enough money for the bus. He said he was desperate for work because his mom had passed away and he needed to care for his siblings.

The restaurant owner was so impressed by the young man’s resolve that he gave him a job with no interview required. Reagan expressed his thanks to the owner and told a reporter, “My heart’s just racing right now, I’m just too excited.”
