Daytona 500 Scheduled Today as Planned Following NASCAR Crash That Injured Dozens
At least 33 people were injured in Saturday's Nationwide Series crash. Those critically injured are now in stable condition. Crews worked through the night to repair the fence and the Daytona 500 race will go on today as planned. Anyone who has seats for that area will be able to change their seats if they feel uncomfortable.
Kyle Larson, the driver
of the car that flipped into the stands and walked away unharmed, told ESPN, "I hope all the fans are okay and all the drivers are all right. I know I took a couple big hits there and saw my engine was gone, so I just hope everybody's all right."
