Danica Patrick will make NASCAR history on Sunday by becoming the first female driver to start on the pole at the Daytona 500.

She won the pole position on Sunday by recording the top lap of 196.434 mph in qualifying.

Patrick is

set to begin her first full season on NASCAR’s top circuit, driving the #10 Chevy for Stewart-Haas Racing. She crashed at the Daytona 500 last year in her Sprint Cup debut.
