Tonight, a U.S. federal appeals court and a state appeals court in Georgia have stepped in to stop a convicted killer’s execution, just 20 minutes before it was set to happen. Prison officials say they had delivered Warren Lee Hill’s last meal when the court’s ruling came down. His lawyers claim Hill’s IQ is so low that it would be unconstitutional to put him to death. Three experts who had testified that he was eligible for execution now say they were wrong.
