California School Punishes Students for Wearing "Racist" American Flag Bandanas and Chanting “USA” at Basketball Game
A California school is facing backlash after an administrator forced four boys to remove American flag bandanas or face being ejected from the game. The boys complied, but were then kicked out of the game and suspended after they began chanting “USA, USA.” The administrator interpreted the move as racist.
The principal has since said that the students were told to remove the bandanas as a “precaution” because the two schools playing have “diverse student bodies.” The suspension of the boys has been lifted.
Mike Gallagher reacted on today’s America Live, saying, “The world has gone crazy!”
“The problem, Megyn, is that if these kids are simply displaying their patriotism, for administrators to interpret that as being de facto racism or implied racism is bizarre.”
