On Special Report tonight, Bret Baier went to head-to-head with White House Press Secretary Jay Carney over the issue of sequestration - automatic defense spending cuts set to go into effect March 1.

Baier pointed out that during one of the presidential debates, President Obama said the sequester

was Congress' proposal and promised that he would not allow it to take effect.

Carney took issue with the fact that Republicans are now trying to blame Obama for sequestration. He pointed out that John Boehner and Paul Ryan were among 171 House Republicans who voted for a bill that put sequestration in place. Baier then challenged Carney to at least concede that sequestration was the president's idea.
