Scientists in England made a stunning find when the 500-year-old royal remains of King Richard III were discovered underneath a parking lot!

The skeleton was said to have a number of unusual features, including a slender build, scoliosis and battle-related trauma. These characteristics, which were all consistent with the information historians have about Richard III’s life and death, helped make a positive identification.

The monarch will now be interred in the city of Leicester’s cathedral.
