A left-wing Turkish terror group is claiming responsibility for the terror attack on the U.S. Embassy in Ankara, Turkey on Friday. The Associated Press reported the outlawed Revolutionary People's Liberation Party-Front, or DHKP-C, did so Saturday in a statement posted on a website linked to the group.

Turkish investigators say they have confirmed the identity of the homicide bomber using DNA as Ecevit Sanli. The attacker allegedly had enough TNT to blow up a two-story building. He also reportedly spent several years in jail on terror charges, but was released because he’d been diagnosed with a terminal illness.

The explosion killed a Turkish security guard and injured three others including a Turkish journalist.
