Shepard Smith reported Syrian State TV claims the Israeli military bombed a military site inside Syria. According to Reuters, Israeli jets attacked a Syrian convoy that was “attempting to transfer weapons” to the Iran-backed terror group, Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Update, 3:24p ET: U.S. officials have confirmed a strike against a convoy believed to be carrying anti-aircraft missiles. Officials have not confirmed reports of a another incident -- a reported Israeli strike on a military research center near Damascus.

Reuters quoted a Western diplomat who said that the convoy was carrying anti-aircraft missiles and other weapons. Security officials in the region reportedly say that this is Israel’s warning

to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his regime that they will not tolerate Syria transferring weapons to militants who are vowing Israel’s destruction.

Israel has not confirmed or denied anything.
