ACLJ Continues to Fight for American Pastor Sentenced to 8 Years in Iranian Prison
Saeed Abedini, the American pastor held in Iran, has been sentenced to eight years in Iranian prison. He was arrested by Iranian officials last September for helping to create Christian home churches in the country. His family that lives in Iran was not allowed to attend the court proceedings.
The American Center for Law and Justice has been fighting to help Pastor Abedini with his case. Jordan Sekulow from the ACLJ told Shannon Bream on Fox News today that he’s not doing well
and isn’t receiving medical care.
“Eight years in an Iranian jail is basically a death sentence,” Sekulow said. He added, “This is the beginning of the fight though. […] If the Ayatollah wants them to do something, they do it. They don’t have a criminal procedure.”
