Chicago Mayor and former Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel is trying to pressure private banks into not doing business with gun manufacturers. He wants them to cut off credit lines to firearm companies that don’t get on board with President Obama’s gun control initiatives.

During an appearance on America Live, Chris Stirewalt said that he wouldn’t be surprised if Emanuel encouraged President Obama to do something similar on the national level using regulatory bodies like the Treasury Department.

Megyn Kelly asked about the wider-reaching implications, including the possibility that Emanuel could simply refuse to do business with anyone who doesn’t support President Obama. Stirewalt pointed out that Emanuel already did that with Chick-fil-A when they wouldn’t let the fast food chain open up new restaurants in Chicago after the CEO spoke out against gay marriage. “They had to do what Mayor Emanuel wanted them to do in order to do business in Chicago,” Stirewalt said.
