Near the end of this morning’s testimony on the September 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya, Senator Rand Paul pointedly targeted the fact that Hillary Clinton hadn’t read cables from Ambassador Chris Stevens.

He said that while he was glad that she was accepting responsibility for the “worst tragedy since 9/11,” he believes she should have been fired for her lapse in judgment. “Had I been president at the time, and I found that you did not read the cables from Benghazi, you did not read the cables from Ambassador Stevens, I would have relieved you of your post,” he said.

He then went onto to question whether Clinton knew anything about the transfer of weapons to Turkey out of Libya. She denied having knowledge of it.
