Joe Biden was officially sworn in as vice president this morning. It was a historic moment for Justice Sonia Sotomayor, who became the first Hispanic judge to administer the oath of office. The ceremony took place at the Naval Observatory in Washington D.C.

Vice President Biden was reportedly sworn in early so that Justice Sotomayor could catch a train to New York for her book signing. Father Kevin O'Brien from Georgetown University led the prayer. Watch below:
