White House Raises Number of Signatures Needed for Response to Online Petitions
The White House has quadrupled the amount of signatures needed on its petition website in order to receive an official response from the Obama administration. The new minimum has risen from 25,000 to 100,000 signatures in 30 days.
Popular petitions that reached the previous requirement include plans to build a “Star Wars” Death Star. The White House responded
to that saying it would cost $850 quadrillion dollars.
