LOOK: Kate Middleton Portrait Draws Criticism
The first official portrait of the Duchess of Cambridge is receiving criticism for making her appear older than her age. Portraitist Paul Emsley spent three months to create the work of art. Kate Middleton reportedly asked the artist to portray as her "natural self."
Matt Sweetwood, the president of Unique Photo in New Jersey weighed in Fox and Friends. He said, “One of the first rules of portraiture is you ask your subject what they want the portrait to be. I mean, she’s a historical figure
-- I’m sure she sees herself like that. She’s not a model going on Vogue Magazine.”

He assessed, “Imagine if they portrayed her as an 18 or 20-year-old, […] then we would be talking about how they objectified women.”
