There’s outrage as Oxygen develops a new reality TV special called “All My Babies’ Mamas.” The program follows rapper Shawty Lo who has 11 children by ten different women.

So far, 30,000 people have signed a petition to stop the Oxygen Network from airing the show because they believe that it is offensive and humiliating to children.

Sabrina Lamb, a CEO and author, started the petition. She joined Fox and Friends this morning and pointedly said, “America has to come to terms with whether or not we cherish our children or we don’t. Children are not to be bartered.”

She stressed that reality TV crosses a line when innocent children are brought into the mix. “We don’t have enough time to go after all the crazy adults who decide to embarrass themselves in this genre. Go at it! But when you start to bring children in it, you have the world standing up and saying enough is enough,” she said.

A statement from Oxygen reads, “The one-hour special is not meant to be a stereotypical representation of everyday life for any one demographic or cross section of society. It is a look at one unique family and their complicated, intertwined life. Oxygen will continue developing the show with this point of view.”
