Earlier today, an Egyptian court sentenced seven Egyptian Christians and a Florida-based pastor to death for their roles in the amateur and controversial YouTube video, “The Innocence of Muslims.” That’s the same anti-Islamic film that the Obama administration originally blamed for the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

Michelle Malkin said the stories of women protesters being sexually assaulted in Egypt and of persecution of Christians that has been on the rise since the Arab Spring is not being reported in the media.

She went on to say, “The silence from [the Obama] administration about Christian persecution, the silence about the sentencing

to death of these Coptic Christians and Terry Jones over this stupid video […] is damning and it is an indictment of this administration for continuing to back what these democracy movement activists are continuing to calling the ‘new pharaoh.’”

Referring to Egypt’s recently-elected President Mohammed Morsi who asserted himself near-absolute powers, Malkin charged, “If you want to know what the blueprint for an Islamic caliphate enabled by Western ignoramuses looks like, look at Egypt now.” She concluded, "They're playing America's leaders for fools."
