Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is headed to the Middle East today, seeking a deescalation of the violence between Israel and militants in Gaza.

The violence has now gone on for a week as militants fire rockets into southern Israel, and Israeli airstrikes target the attackers.

Doug McKelway reported

on the "high stakes" meetings earlier this morning on Fox and Friends. Clinton is set to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi and Palestinian Authority officials. She will not meet with anyone from Hamas, which the U.S. considers a terror organization.
