Fighting Escalates to Deadliest Day in Israel-Gaza Border Conflict
Reporting about a mile from the Israel-Gaza border, Fox News correspondent David Lee Miller says that diplomacy has not yet made a difference on the ground. In total today, about 75 rockets were fired into Israel. At least three were targeted for Tel Aviv but were intercepted by the Iron Dome, which is Israel’s missile defense system. Shrapnel from one of those intercepted rockets did hit a car. Seven Israelis were injured and dozens had to be treated for shock.
A military spokesman in Israel
says that he believes Palestinian militants are trying to fire rockets in quick succession to try and overwhelm the Iron Dome. There have been over 100 airstrikes by Israel in the last 24 hours. Israel says it was targeting mastermind of rocket technology when it struck the home of a militant. Reportedly, 11 Palestinian civilians died as a result of that attack.
