In the wake of President Obama’s re-election, some citizens are calling for secession! Close to 700,000 people, spread throughout all 50 states, have filed petitions in favor of seceding from America on the Obama administration’s “We the People” website. Petitions from Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, and North Carolina have garnered at least 25,000 signatures, the number at which the administration promises a response.

The crew from The Five weighed in on whether this is a serious movement or if people are just letting off steam after the election.

And what we are doing now is we are getting to the point where a number of states, East Coast, West Coast states are going bankrupt.”
