Earlier today, Pentagon Press Secretary George Little confirmed that on November 1, an unmanned U.S. drone was fired upon by Iran. Charles Krauthammer questioned the timing of the revelation. He said, “Here we have an incident that occurs November 1. We have an election five days later. We hear nothing about it until two days after the election. So, either our intelligence agencies on which we spend $60 billion a year take a week to ascertain that one of our drones has been shot at or this was an obvious attempt to manipulate information?”

He also questioned the administration’s lack of a response given that Krauthammer describes this as a serious act of war on Iran’ part. “The Iranians are going to understand that they now can take shots at our drones today unmanned. Tomorrow, they could hit a plane with a pilot in it,” he said.
