As Election Day fast approaches, the focus on the swing states is mounting. The latest polls in these all-important states show that the race is neck and neck. Mitt Romney and Barack Obama continue to campaign in Colorado, and independent pollster Floyd Ciruli said on Cost of Freedom today that the those nine electoral votes could make all the difference.

Ciruli said most of the polls in Ohio indicated that President Obama is leading, but Romney’s camp is arguing that

the enthusiasm generated by the first presidential debate is not being factored in. He said, “If that’s true, there’s definitely going to be an examination of the methodology that is used for some very credible national polls that were taken [in Ohio].”

The pollster went on to predict that in order for Romney to get to the magic number of 270 electoral votes, he will need to win in major competitive states such as Wisconsin, Nevada, Florida and Virginia.
