In the first question posed during Thursday's vice presidential debate, Joe Biden addressed the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya, pledging to the American public that the administration will "find and bring to justice the men who did this."

He promised to get to the bottom of what happened, saying, "Whatever mistakes were made, they will not be made again."

Biden stressed, "If you do harm to America, we will track you to the 'Gates of Hell' if need be."
