Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) joined Martha MacCallum on America's Newsroom to discuss the anti-American protests sweeping the Middle East and North Africa.

The 2008 presidential candidate has accused President Obama of pursuing a "feckless" foreign policy.

"The traditional role of America is that America leads. This president believes in leading from behind. He does not believe in American exceptionalism and that accounts for his behavior... even failing to stand up for people who are fighting for freedom," McCain said.

McCain also criticized President Obama for focusing too much on the US withdrawal from Iraq and eventual pullout from Afghanistan, while 'not saying a word' about the mass killings in Syria.
